3 Potatoes = 3 Dollars

Yesterday we went shopping for groceries and one of the items on the list was potatoes. 

Since our consumption of potatoes is quite low and buying potatoes in a bag resulted in about half of them getting bad, we decided to buy fewer. 

However, we ended up paying approximately 3 USD for 3 potatoes. The shown price was 0.99$ per pound (450g). We bought 3 (rather large) potatoes which weighted a bit more than 3 pounds. If we add the 6% sales tax which is not included in the shown price (big difference from EU). 

P.S. now I know where those long fries come from :)
